This legendary 1989 debut album was produced by John Leckie, who worked on ‘Meddle’ by Pink Floyd, and who helped bring out John Squire’s psychedelic guitar style to make it a major foundation of the band’s sound.  The album was not immediately successful but its status grew to become one of the biggest albums of the Madchester movement. It has now sold over a million copies in the UK, and includes I Wanna Be Adored, I am the Resurrection, and Made of Stone.
